10 Minutes manicure tutorial @ home

Hi my dear beauty lovers!!

How are you doing? Hope you all are doing great. It's been soooo long since I have written any new post. It was because I kind of fell in love with Origami and D.I.Y craft ideas!! Yay!! I was so involved in Origami and crafts that I ended up doing nearly 20 new paper art and nearly 40 craft ideas. I shall soon be posting my stupendous work here :)

It was then that I discovered something new. A whole new D.I.Y manicure process with natural things at home. When I craft paper, my hands kind of got rough and sticky and then slowly started to get tanned due to the glue that I had on my fingers for hours. At first, I was angry with myself for getting into this mess. But then, looking at this with a positive perspective made me to take a short cut to manicure!! ;) As I often say, sharing is always always and always fun!! So let's get started.

I am gonna teach you 5 easy ways to go for a super cool manicure at home. Follow any one of these daily and you are sure to get a manicure effect on your fingers and hands within one week.

1. Potato:

Potato always makes wonders on skin, no matter what your skin type is. Take a potato and cut it into five thin slices. Apply salt over the slices and leave them aside for two min. The salt gets absorbed into the potato. Scrub these slices onto your fingers, especially on the knuckles for five to ten min. Wash it off with a cotton ball dipped in milk or warm water. I prefer using milk as it is a natural moisture and tends to keep your fingers soft. While the salt acts as a scrub, the potato removes the tan from your fingers.

2. Lemon:

Lemon is a natural de-tanner and acts very quickly on skin. Take a small slice of lemon and rub some salt on it. Scrub this mixture onto your fingers for 5 min and wash it off. Do not scrub it for more than 5 min if you find it too itchy. The citric acid present in the lemon de tans your fingers while the salt along with the citirc acid acts as a scrub, de tanner and dead cells remover. You can also rub your hands with a plain lemon in case you need to get rid of the tan.

3. Sugar and Almond oil:

Almond oil is known for its moist nature. Mix two spoons of almond oil to one spoon of sugar and scrub it to your hands. Wash it off after 5 min with a cotton ball dipped in warm water. Do not wash with milk as the almond oil already contains moisture. Washing your fingers with milk will make your hands look more oily. You can also use olive oil to get the same effect. Since almond oil leaves an aromatic effect on your fingers, this is more preferable than olive oil.

4. Glycerine:

Mix a few drops of lemon juice to one table spoon of sugar and half table spoon of glycerine and scrub it on your hands. Wash it off with warm water after 10 min. You can also apply this to your arms. While the sugar removes the dead cells, lemon removes tha tan and glycerine keeps your skin shiny and glossy.

5. Potato juice:

Take a half cut potato and make it into a juice. Boil the juice for 5 min and apply it directly on your fingers. The juice removes the tan instantly from your fingers and tends to keep your fingers smooth.

So that's it for now ladies!! I shall be posting few more posts for today, as there's lot to share :) Keep waiting for my next post!! Bye babies;)

D.I.Y Manicure at home with salon rich look

Hello kitties!!

Hope you all are doing fine. Today I am up with a new innovative method to try manicure at home with your very own products, yay!! Believe me, I have tried this at home and it has given me stupendous results. So I have decided to share this with my precious darlings. And one more good news is, I have started to gain followers on my blog. With this double dose of happiness, I am sure that my week ahead is gonna be a lovely one.

Before we get started to work, let me ask you a question? How often do you have manicure in a month? Be it either once or twice, the salon manicure can sure be achieved in home with your very own cosmetics, moisturisers and natural scrubs in your home. Added to this is the cost reduction that's gonna save you some money for your kitty parties or other beauty products. Worth your time and money, right!! :) So lets begin.

         1. The very first step is to make some soapy solution in a hot water. Use a body lotion or a moisturising soap so that it will soothe your hands and keep it moist. I prefer Nivea body lotion as it makes my hands glossy and shiny.

You can use mild soaps like Dove to get this effect. Be sure that you make this solution in very hot water. Leave it aside on a table for 20 min.

         2. Once the temperature of the hot water is reduced, soak your hands in it for nearly 15 min. But before, keep aside the other needed ingredients such as scrub, moisturizer, nail cutter, etc so that your time gets saved.

         3. Take off your hands from the bowl and wrap with a steamed napkin. In case you do not have a steamed napkin, you can just wipe your hands with an ordinary napkin dipped and rolled in hot water. Use a soft napkin so that the smoothness of the soapy solution is retained in your hands.

        4. As for the scrub part, it sure needs a forehand preparation. I have mixed two spoons of sugar, one spoon of glycerine and a few lemon drops and created the scrub. While sugar removes the dirt around your cuticles, lemon tends to remove the tan on your fingers and glycerine keeps your hands smooth and shiny. You can also simply mix olive oil to sugar to create the scrub. But I prefer to add lemon in all my scrubs to remove tan.

        5. Once you wrap your hands with the steamed napkin, gently apply this scrub to your fingers and palms. Apply it in circular and anti circular motions and scrub your hands for 10 to 12 min. Once you are done with the scrubbing part, dip your hands in the soapy solution to clear off the scrub and clean it off immediately.

        6. Now have your manicure tools to do some cleaning around the cuticles. Before you start cleaning your tips and cuticles, apply a small amount of Vaseline to the walls of your nails and around the cuticles. This will not only keep your fingers smooth, but will also remove the dirt from the cuticles very smoothly. I use my manicure kit to clean my cuticles and file my nails. But you can also achieve this with the help of a nail cutter!! Apply Vaseline to the cuticles and gentle push your cuticles backwards with the help of the small knife in your nail cutter.

When you push your cuticles backwards, the dirt hidden in your nail skin will get opened up and eventually get cleansed. Slowly, poke your cuticles softly in a gentle manner and remove the dirt. To remove the Vaseline, use a cotton ball so that it keeps your nails smooth. Once you are done with this, dip your hands in soapy solution one last time and take it off after 5 min.

Repeat this once a week and you are sure to get a salon effect manicure at your home step. Let me know how this turned out for you. Don't forget to share your experiences with me. Protecting your hair color

Hi my lovelies!!

Hope you are doing fine. In my last post, I mentioned about henna and other natural hair oils to keep your hair smooth and shiny. Today, i am gonna post about how to protect your hair color. I hope today this post will be shared by many young teenagers as hair coloring has become a trend among them :) So let's get to work!!

The trending hair colors preferred by teenagers are burgundy, brown and ash colors. These colors are mostly applied on the front part of the hair as it is the most exposed part which adds beauty to the face.

Speaking on monetary terms, the parlors and salons make a fortune out of this by charging heavily for each sitting. I just have one question to all people who color their hair. How many days does the color stays on your hair? Is it making any justice to the fancy amounts you pay at the salons? Are you completely satisfied with the longevity of your hair color? Sadly, the answer from many of you would be a huge No. Only a small percentage of people take care of their hair colors to make them stay for a longer period of time. Maintenance is also an added cost my beauties!!

Personally speaking, I do not prefer coloring my hair as my hair is rich black in color. So coloring makes my hair look artificial. I use home made henna to apply to my hair to keep my hair in condition. Since I have not colored my hair even once, I do not have any idea of the cost included maintenance.

But I do know a solution to help you people out from this situation. I have some useful tips to keep your hair color last long. Plus, its cost effective too!! I have listed some of the tips that you will find effective and useful. Go ahead and rejoice as you can save your money and  use it to buy other beauty products for your face or skin!!

The main reason your hair color gets faded away is because of excessive exposure to sunlight. Other factors contributing to this are salt water and presence of chlorine in the water you use for showering. So try to avoid these to make your color last longer. Usually chlorine in water can be found in huge amounts in swimming pools. Whenever you go for swimming, make sure you wash off your hair completely with purified water. This will wash off the chlorine from your hair and help in retaining your hair color.

When you step out of your home on sunny days, don't forget to tie a scarf around your hair. This will prevent the Sun's rays from entering directly into your scalp. These rays are so harmful that they possess the tendency to close the pores on your scalp resulting in reduced oxygen supply to your scalp. This leads to hair fall and permanently prevents new hair to grow on your scalp.

Never ever shower in salt water as it makes your hair rough and the salt content present in it erodes your hair color gradually. When you shampoo your hair, see to that your shampoo, conditioner and other hair related products do not contain Sulfate. Girls who use hair coloring are advised to straighten your before you color your hair. Straightening or curling your hair after coloring makes your hair to lose the color. In case you plan to color and straighten your hair, it is advised to straighten your hair first and color your hair next.

Color your hair monthly once; not twice or thrice a month as the chemicals present in them cause split ends to your hair with regular usage. If you need to color your hair twice a month, then use conditioners which contain moisturizers and sun screen lotions. Use natural moisturizers for your scalp to help your scalp rejuvenate.

In case you missed out my post on natural moisturizers, you can follow this link to read more about it here http://beautyisskindee.blogspot.in/search/label/natural%20therapy. Also if you want to know more about natural hair straighteners you can read about them here http://beautyisskindee.blogspot.in/search/label/Coconut%20milk .

After all, sharing is fun right :) And also don't forget to leave your comments and valuable suggestions. Once again thank you all for sharing my posts in different social sites!!
