Anti-tan face packs

Hi my sweetums!!

Hope you all are doing great!! Today, I am gonna post about anti-tanning face packs which can be easily prepared at home. So let's begin!! :)

Many young girls, teenagers, ladies and women suffer from tanning. One of the main reasons for tanning is exposure to direct sunlight for a long period of time. Long exposure to sunlight makes your face, neck, hands and feet tanned. Many parlor and salons provide anti tanning treatment with chemicals that may be allergic to our face. Since the skin on the face is more sensitive than any other part of the body, special care has to be taken whenever you apply face packs, anti tanning packs, bleach etc.

We are now going to see how to prepare natural anti tanning face packs at home. These packs prove to be very economical, cost effective, chemical free and finally natural!! Yay:)

1.Take a fresh tomato and cut it into two equal halves. Take one of the halves and dip it directly into sugar. Add some fresh curd upon it and rub this to your face for 5min. I always use a small sized tomato to do this. But if you use a bigger one, then it's better to cut the tomato to one fourth. Rubbing this on your face will remove the tan from your face. Use it regularly to see stunning results.

2. Cut one fourth of a tomato (any size) and squeeze out the juice from it. Add two to four drops of lemon juice squeezed from a fresh lemon. Finally, add two table spoons of fresh curd to the mixture. To make into a face pack, you can also add besan gram flour (i.e fgarbanzo bean flour or chick pea flour) and multani mitti (fuller's earth). Apply this to your face and neck and leave it on for 20 min. Repeat this twice a week to see good results. This pack not only reduces tanning, but also reduces pimples and keeps your skin fresh.

3. Squeeze the juice from one fourth of a tomato. Add one table spoon of freshly prepared cilantro juice to it. You can apply it directly to your face with a cotton. But I suggest you to use it as a face pack. To make this as a face pack, add some besan gram flour and multani mitti (fuller's earth) to it. Apply it to your face and neck and wash it after 20 min.

All the above methods are extremely effective in removing the tan from your face.I am pretty sure that you will notice startling results. So that's it for today my darlings!! Natural hair straighteners

Hi sweethearts!!!

Hope you all are doing fine. I am happy to see a good response for my posts. Yay!! I would appreciate it more if you people comment on my posts apart from sharing them.

Anyways, today I am gonna write about natural hair straighteners. It's almost summer in India and wooooosh!!! It's time for some tender coconut drinks!!! I am 6 months pregnant and I have a special carving for tender coconut water. Tender coconuts are a real bliss in summer next to sweet and juicy mangoes.

Coconut, it's milk, oil and water has many beneficial uses. Today I am gonna show how you can use coconut milk as hair straightener and coconut water as a natural scrub, face wash and face pack.

Mix coconut milk with two drops of lemon and leave it aside in a refriferator for 6 hours. Transfer this to a spray bottle. You will notice a thick foamy layer formed over the surface of coconut milk. You can spray it on your hair thrice a week before you take head bath. Leave it on your hair for at least 20 min before you take head bath. The coconut milk not only acts as a hair starightener but also as a moisturizer. It provides your scalp and hair the much needed moisture and keeps your hair soft and alive. Instead of spraying it to your hair, you can also apply it directly to your scalp and leave it on for 15 min. Steam your hair for 15 min before you take head bath. For those who intend to get straight hair, it is advisable to spray the mixture to your hair since it spreads evenly in this manner.

To use coconut water as a natural skin toner, mix half cup of tender coconut water with besan gram powder. Mix it well and leave it aside for ten min. Apply it as a scrub to your face. Coconut water has anti oxidants which release oxygen to your skin and keeps your skin rejuvenated. Besan gram acts as a scrub by removing the dirt and bacteria from your face.

To reduce acne and black marks, mix two table spoons of turmeric and one fourth cup of coconut water. Leave it aside for one night. The next day, add some red sandal wood powder to the paste and leave it aside for half hour. Apply this paste on your acne affected areas of the face.

To keep your skin glowing, add two table spoons of turmeric to one fourth cup of coconut milk and apply to your face. Turmeric removes the bacteria, black heads and dirt from your face while coconut milk acts as a natural moisturizer.

And finally, one great tip to all the pregnant ladies!! Daily intake of tender coconut water increases the amniotic fluid to the baby and develops the baby's immunity. Moreover, coconut water contains much less sugar than other sports drinks and juices. It removes bacteria and aids in easy digestion. Add a small amount of turmeric powder to coconut water. Regular intake of this helps in preventing urinary infections during pregnancy.

So that's it for today my dears!!keep reading my posts and do drop your comments below.

Meet you in next post:) Until then, take cate:)

DIY face packs

Hello my dears!!

Hope you are enjoying my posts.Today I am gonna post something that you can prepare straight from your kitchen.

Oats, oats, oats!!! This is what I keep hearing from most women now a days. Many women want to get back to their once upon a time slim looks. So intake of oats by women has considerably increased with time.

Apart from physical intake, oats can also be used as face packs which help to keep your skin glowing. You can also use it as a face wash. Today I am gonna show you how to make your own DIY face packs with oats.

1. To use oats as a scrub, mix one table spoon of oats, honey and sugar and scrub your face with it. Scrub your face for nearly two to three minutes and wash it off with hot water. Also remember to powder your oats if it's flaky. This makes your skin soft and removes the dirt.

2. Oats can also be used as a face mask. Mix two table spoons of oats, olive oil, honey and curd. Apply it to your face and leave it on for half an hour. Wash it off with cold water. This face wash effectively removes the wrinkles on your face.

You can also add a ripened banana ( half of it) to two table spoons of oats, cream, milk and wheat flour and blend it into a paste. Apply it to your face and wash it with cold water after 10 min. Do not use soap immediately.

3. To rejuvenate your skin, mix half cup of oats, one fourth of milk powder and two table spoons of honey in a thin cloth. Tie this to a tap where water can penetrate into the cloth. Keep a bucket under the tap and see to that water from the tap penetrates into the cloth and falls into the bucket. Let the bucket get filled. Use the water that has fallen into the bucket for bathing. This will keep your skin rejuvenated.

So that's it for today my darlings. Try the three methods that I posted and let me know how it turned out. Do try the third one as I found it extremely effective. Don't forget to leave your experiences as comments.

Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:)

Natural home made therapy- II

Hi my dears!!!

Since this is a back to back post, I am gonna continue about the goodness of neem and how to use it as a natural skin toner cum conditioner.

Apart from using neem as a natural conditioner, you can also add other natural skin toners like papya and oranges.

Take some neem leaves and some orange peels. Add water to it and let it boil for about 20min. Allow it too cool down. Make this into a paste once it is cooled. Mix one table spoon of honey, two table spoons of curd and one table spoon of soya milk to it. You can get soya milk in any departmental store or retail outlets. In case you cannot get soya milk, you can add ordinary milk to the mixture. Scrub your face with the above mixture. You can also use it as a face mask. Use it 3 times a week and you can notice a special glow in your face!!!

To create a natural hair conditioner, mix some amount of honey to the boiled neem water. Apply it to your scalp and rinse it after two min.

So that's it for today my beauties. Do keep reading my posts and also let me know the areas in which you are interested so that I can write posts to the related topics.

Once again, thank you for reading:) Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:)

Home made therapy

Hi my dear beauties!!!

Hope you all are doing fine. Since I was unable to post for a couple of days, I have decided to gift you people two back to back posts!!! Yay!!:)

So today, the first post is gonna be about a natural home made conditioner cum moisturizer. The goodness of neem leaves is well known to all of us. We see a neem tree in each and every corner of a street. In India, neem tree is considered very sacred and is also said to have many medicinal properties.

Today, I'll tell you how to create your own neem conditioner cum moisturizer. Take about 50 neem leaves in a bowl. Add two litres of water to it and boil it till the color of the water changes. I have boiled the neem leaves and I have posted the photo below so that you can get an idea of the color change. Boil it till the leaves become soft and supple.

Once you are done, filter the water and store it in a bottle. Add 100ml of this filtered water in your bucket when you bath. You can also mix it with some ordinary water and use it for face wash. By doing so, skin infections, pimples and white heads on your face can be permanently avoided.

You can also directly dip a Cotton ball into the solution and wipe your face with it before you go to bed. It acts as a skin toner on your face and also avoids black marks, acne and blackheads.

Wash your head twice a week with this solution. You will be astonished to find that dandruff has completely bid good bye to your hair!!!

This is all about the first post my darlings. Keep reading my posts and as I promised, the next back to back post is on its way:)

Drop your comments and suggestions if any. Thanks for reading:)

Flawless skin

Hi my beauties!!

Hope you all are having a good time reading my blog. Today I am going to post about the different types of skin and precautions that are needed to be taken according to each skin tone.

OK, so to start with, there are 3 different types of skin tones. Each type of skin needs different care to ensure it is soft and supple. Each skin retains a certain amount of moisture with it. If it cannot retain the desired level, then your skin tends to become dry. This loss in moisture can be retained with the help of external moisturizers that are available in local stores and shops. People having dry skin should regularly apply cleansers apart from using moisturizers. Apply cleanser to your face in an even manner and leave it on your face for a couple of minutes. Dip a cotton ball into water and clean off the cleanser. By doing so, the sweat, dirt and bacteria in your face will eventually vanish. Use toners that are specially made for dry skin. Apart from this, see to that you purchase a moisturizer that has vitamin E so that your skin tone will get enriched. Apply it regularly to get speedy results.

People with dry skin can prepare natural moisturizers at home which prove to be very effective. To prepare your own moisturizer, combine some amount of almond oil with honey and store it in a jar. You can use it whenever you want. The more you store, the better the result.

When your skin produces excess oil from the pores of your face, then your skin is said to be oily. People having oily skin also develop black heads and pimples very frequently. Many teenagers suffer with pimples and black heads due to oily skin. To get rid of the excess oil from your face, use a soap that has medicinal values.  Soaps like Medimix and Margo work for most of the oily skins. In case these soaps do not suit you, non alkaline soaps can also be used. Use a mild face scrub two to three times a week to remove the dirt and oil from your face so that the pores in your skin get opened up. Use moisturizers that contain water and not oil in their composition.

Combinational skin tone has both dry and oily skin. People having such skin tone should use toner that has rose water in its composition.

So that's it for today my dears!! Keep reading my posts and drop your comments and suggestions. Also feel free to share some of the tips that you know so that I too can get to know more about this topic;)

Meet you in next post. Until then, take care:)

Dandruff treatment

Hello ladies!!!

Welcome to my blog where you and me can share useful, fun and healthy tips on how to keep your hair, skin and nails alive all the time. This blog is exclusively for Indian women although ladies all around the world are open heartedly invited as some of the tips that I post might be found useful by others apart from Indians. So, let's get started as I think there's no point in making you wait!!!

Wherever I go or travel, I find women suffering with dandruff, hair loss, split ends and much more..Uffff!!! I know how disgusting this can look as I too was a victim of these problems in the past.Below are some useful tips that prove to be very effecrive for dandrudf and will start to show the results within a week.

1. Take 4 to 5 tableapoons of olive oil and heat it in low flame for 5 min.Apply the warm/hot oil to your hair and leave it to get soaked into your scalp overnight. This will make your hair smooth and enrich your scalp with the much needed oxygen. The pores in your scalp will open due to the hotness and your scalp will start to observe oxygen.

2.  The next morning, mix some curd and a few lemon drops and apply it to your scalp. Always remember that when your scalp starts itching, it's because of the citric acid present in lemon that is working on dandruff!!! So don't worry if you have any irritation or itiching. At the same time, see to that you do not add too many lemon drops.

3.  Leave the mixture on your scalp for 30 min and then rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Repeat this twice a week and you will get to see beautiful results.

Try this out and let me know how it turned out.Share your doubts, experiences and much moee with me by commenting in the comments box below. Also feel free to ask me tips for skin, nails, tanning problems etc so that I can get to know the topics that you are interested in and will start to post on that particular topic.
